Internships & Assistantships |
The CCI offers a limited number of internships for students of social work, nursing, sociology and other SFSU professional training programs. Geared to student interests and program needs, internships provide an opportunity for students to learn qualitative and quantitative research skills as members of small, dedicated research teams on cutting edge participatory research projects.
Summer interns: During the summer months, CCI hosts one or two interns from SFSU and other universities who work on current research projects, special assignments or reports in collaboration with CCI staff. Summer interns find their months at CCI to be
a valuable part of their academic and professional development.
In addition to formal internship opportunities, students are periodically recruited to work on research projects as volunteers or in carrying out an independent study. Graduate students may also be invited to work with CCI research staff on their thesis or culminating experience as these relate to ongoing CCI research projects. Student interns are solicited on an as-needed basis, each semester or for an academic year.
